You down with BSC? (Yeah, you know me!)

Hey, Smarties! My name is Carrie. I do banking things. I also stink at budgeting. I’m in Massachusetts, where it is fantastic – and also expensive.

Let’s start with a little recap….

How did I get here? Back in 2014, I hatched into the social scene as a young Twitter bird named @BankSmartCarrie. As a rising young banker, I began attending various industry events and they all felt old and stuffy. Being the young blonde banker in the room, I was eager to share my ideas and challenge the traditional nonsense with a little sass. Since the first few social handles I tried were taken (including the obvious @BlondeBanker), I ended up with BSC.

So, you’re not a Financial Blogger? Uhmm, no. I’m not even an actual blogger. @BankSmartCarrie started as a platform to share #worklife, talk #fintech and spread some #communitylove! It led to more connections, opportunities and fun than I could have ever imagined. Over the past 6 years, I’ve been featured in international publications and taken the stage coast to coast to share my ideas on all things banking (very technical terms, here!). The fabulous 2020 has got me thinking about #WhatComesNext. It’s time to shift gears and create some new adventures! Enter the launch of BSC dot com!

And your point is…? BSC has always been a creative outlet to share what is on my mind. As an MBA grad, new mom and now aging millennial, my mind has shifted. I’m looking forward to sharing some new random thoughts, learning from those around me and am counting on all of you to hold me accountable for the goals!
